I Build America Makes the Difference
I Build America activists have made building America and respecting the people who build America a priority in Congress, in the White House and across the country.
I Build America activists have:
- Pressured Pulte Homes, Inc. to put six of seven workers back to work, after letting them go when they showed up for work wearing their LiUNA! Orange shirts and asking for wages they believed were due them.
- Pushed back on an effort in Congress to tax our hard-earned health care benefits.
- Helped force state legislatures to invest in transportation systems and create good jobs.
- Sent Congress the message to defend family-supporting wages and the Davis-Bacon Act
for thousands of water projects workers. - Fought for and won jobs-creating investment in our nation’s economic recovery legislation.
- Helped fellow members in local battles across the country.
